Boyschool - Letter Y

Letter: Y
Shape: Square
Number: 5
Bible Verse: "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light" Matthew 11:30

Bubba wasn't overly interested in the activities I had planned this week. So he chose most of the things we did this week.

Yellow Yarn Y - I drew an uppercase and lowercase Y on a piece of card stock, and cut short strips of yarn to be glued on the letters. This craft is from the book Alphabet Art: With A to Z Animal Art & Finger Play {I apparently can't follow directions, and gave Bubba yarn in a variety of colors...oopsies}.

Yelling "Yippie" letter Y - Kathy Ross Crafts: Letter Shapes

PreK Letter Y - Letter of the Week curriculum from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

{sort of} Square Sponge Art - dip small square(ish) pieces of sponge in paint; place in a zip top bag with a piece of card stock; have fun with mess free painting!

Learn with Me Math Basics - He was all about this book this week. He completed 3 new pages from the book, plus a few old ones that we turned into file folder games.

Bubba also did The Number 5 count and color worksheet from TLS Books. I forgot to get a picture of him working on it. Then, he decided he wanted some cutting practice, and cut the worksheet into a million tiny pieces.

Y is for Yoko Yak

We read the book Yoko Yak's Yakety Yakking by Barbara deRubertis, about a million times. It is a very cute story about a very yakety yak. I'm looking forward to reading more of the Animal Antics series with Bubba, since he really enjoyed this book.

Bubba made is own yakety yak. This is another craft from Alphabet Art: With A to Z Animal Art & Finger Play

Then he pretended he was a yak climbing on steep "rocks" {for about an hour...yay!}.
